Today in the Economist it was reported that business schools are starting to show interest in cryptocurrencies classes. More and more universities, both small and large, are taking heed of student requests to create formal blockchain and cryptocurrency related courses. These classes are being incorporated into their existing Master of Business Administration curriculum. A few of the schools taking this forward-looking step include Harvard, Stanford, NYU Stern, and Haas, among others.
The classes will not delve into cryptocurrency nor ICO selection advice, but they will instead examine the technology, infrastructure and financial ramifications of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
The end destination of many of the MBA graduates could be large banks. These students might have a great impact on the way banks think about, and incorporate cryptocurrencies into their future mainstream operations.
Cryptocurrencies may have little luck trying to beat down the doors of big banks to force their way in, but future bank employees may willingly open those same doors.
